MAKE48 is a 10-episode series immersing the viewer in the product invention process from idea to store shelf. It all begins with 12 teams from 12 states competing in a real life invention competition where they must brainstorm the best product idea within a given product category, make a prototype, and pitch it - all in just 48 hours.

The viewer is immersed in the hands-on action as the invention showdown unfolds including brainstorming, designing and building their ideas in order to pitch their prototype to a team of expert judges. Industry A-listers and Tool Tech mentors roam the competition floor and give advice to the teams on all facets of product design and development.

At the end of 48 hours the top winning teams get to hold their patent pending ideas while beginning the road to marketplace where their product is fine-tuned, tested, and re-engineered by national design firms all on the difficult path to hopefully make it to the consumer marketplace.
